I changed jobs recently, still doing a similar thing to what I was doing before but now I work for perhaps the best named company ever - Jellywall.
We build ecommerce sites for brands, mostly in the fashion and footwear sectors. We do marketing too. In short our approach is this:

My wife and I also have a shoe shop, and a website that sells hair dye. Our website is part business part guinea pig for any new things I want to test on a live ecommerce site.
We're just about to launch another brand on the hair dye site - Manic Panic from the USA so I'll just slip a gratuitous anchor text link in right about here - Manic Panic Hair Dye.
This will be an interesting one, Manic panic is a well known brand but because it's imported from the USA it's pricey compared to the other brands we sell. It's good stuff but we'll have to see if it warrants the price tag or not.
